When I was at the games I told myself that I should find one or two things that I could challenge myself with at the gym. Since this is my crazy Crossfit blog then I will report how I decide torture myself and share it with you. First, I decided that anytime there were kbs in the wod then I would go a bit heavier. So 53# from now on! I also want to continue doing 10-15 hspu's after each class. Today I got 6 in a row. That's a record for me! :)
Monday 8/8
Front Squat - work up to a heavy set of 5 - 117#
Then.... 10 min running clock.
5 kbs at the top of every min. (UGH! that was heavy!)
Then my own combination of matt nasties, push ups and k2e for the rest of the min.
Count reps..... I did 167 reps.
Go right into an 800 m run for time. I didn't look at the clock and thought I might just die during the run. :)
That was one tough cookie!
Tuesday 8/9
Another tough Gary workout. Sheesh!
Worked up to a heavy hang power clean and then into a push press.
Do that max 5x. I used 120# after a bit of a nudge from ST to go heavier.
Then take 70% of your max and use it for the workout....

for time... I think my time was around 10 min. UGH.
I thought I was going to be able to hold 5 reps, but dropped to 3 then to 1's!!
I was really trying not to push jerk instead, but I could feel that happen when I
was getting tired! Very fun workout!
Also - food note.... I have been eating really clean and have lost a couple of pounds again.
I know that helps me. Also - I have been looking into taking some nutrition classes because I am SOOO interested! We will see what happens, but for now I just keep praying about it. :)
Wednesday 8/10
Beach workout with some friends. We ran the stairs with weights while the others tortured themselves with burpees, sprints, KBS, double unders, pass throughs and more. What a fun morning!!!

What a great day!!! I really got a muscle up! No more jumping. There was a crazy kip before, but that's fine. I can't wait to learn to string them together. Feeling very good about learning new things at 40! Whoohooo! I did 5 rounds and did one mu per round instead of 2. Great workout by Annie! LOVE Friday workouts!
